Rain, Rain, Go Away (for the Braves game)

Rain, Rain, Go Away (for the Braves game)

With rain threatening tonight's Braves game, Twitter has been buzzing with rhymes and catchprases. @cannonsimp had a great idea: let's come up with a catchphrase similar to "Spahn and Sain, and pray for rain" for today's team.  So I did:

Huddy, Maholm, Minor, and Kris,
And when they're done, our Rookie of the Year.
You don't want to face a lineup like this.
May as well pray that the skies aren't clear.

Amateur Radio Class, Exam Offered in Montezuma

Ham radios is one way to communicate when all of our other modern technology goes out due to weather situations.

The Amateur Radio operators, sometimes called "hams," prove to be backup communication in such instances, according to a release. To participate in the Amateur Radio Service, you need a FCC license.

Central Georgia Amateur Radio Emergency Service members will give a one-day cram session on Saturday, May 18. This class prepares attendees for the FCC amateur radio exam. You then can take the exam the same day after the class.

The class will be held at the Macon County Emergency Management Agency office at 718 Plum Street, Montezuma, Georgia, beginning at 8 a.m. The exam will be given at 4 p.m.
