I-75 Rest Area Closed for a Month
  The Georgia Department of Transportation has scheduled the temporary closure of this rest area beginning Monday, March 5 until Wednesday, April 4, a Georgia Department of Transportation news release says. “Many factors have gone into the decision to temporarily close this rest area. Safety for the motorists and our employees is definitely a factor in this decision.

The Georgia National Rodeo takes place annually at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter.

The rodeo is set for February 23-25.

Lane Closure Expected Through Dooly County

Lane Closure Expected Through Dooly County

One lane will be closed on Monday and Tuesday nights for pavement replacement, a Georgia Department of Transportation news release says.

That's on February 27th and 28th from 7-10 p.m. each night. The lane closure will be from milepost 127 to 121 on I-75 southbound.

The project consists of 11.55 miles of pavement replacement on I-75 and begins at the Crisp County line and extends to Pinehurst-Hawkinsville Road in Dooly County.

One lane will be closed on I-75 North and South  through Dooly and Crisp counties starting in January 2012.

Georgia Department of Transportation estimates that the lane will be closed on both sides of I-75 for about a year.

The lane closure occurs between I-75 mile markers 117 and 105.
