Henry H. Woodward

 

Henry H. Woodward, age 99, of 211 North Sixth Street, Vienna, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at his residence. Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Lucious L. Woodward and Mary Fenn Woodward. He retired from Buff-Morgan Chevrolet where he was a bookkeeper. Mr. Woodward was a member of Vienna United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the James Thomas Woodward Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans in Warner Robins.

Willie Ruth Wheeler 1933-2012

Willie Ruth Wheeler, 78, of Unadilla, went to sleep on September 11, 2012 in anticipation of her earthly resurrection (Matt 5:5; John 5:28, 29; Rev 21:3, 4.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Minnie Farmer, brothers Joe and Leonard (Bootle) Farmer, and her husband of 54 years, William Clinton (Clint) Wheeler, all of Unadilla.

Marvin Fowler

Marvin Fowler, age 79, of 217 Payne Road, Vienna, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at his residence. Born in Cordele, he was the son of the late Calvin T. Fowler and Velonia Downs Fowler. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Joe Wendell Peacock

Joe Wendell Peacock, 72, passed away on Monday August 20, 2012, in the GA War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Southside Baptist Church of Kathleen. Burial will be private.

Kenwood L. Bush

 

Kenwood L. Bush, age 62, of 1190 Pleasant Valley Road, Vienna, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma. Mr. Bush was a retired engineer and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He and his wife, Elaine Warren Bush, have lived in Vienna the past 7 years. No local services will be held. The family may be contacted at 1190 Pleasant Valley Road, Vienna.

Minnie Lou Jefferson Watson

Mrs. Watson passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.

Lee Harris, Jr.

Lee Harris, Jr., age 36, of 3192 Dooly High Road, Vienna, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Lee was born in Americus and was a member of Vienna First Baptist Church, a farmer and a member of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. He was also one of the original organizing members of State Bank & Trust in Pinehurst. He was past-president of the Dooly County Livestock Association and a founding board member of the Georgia Junior Livestock Association. Lee enjoyed helping kids get involved in livestock showing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family, especially at livestock shows.
