Myra Lewis

Myra Leonard Lewis, age 94, of Lilly, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Born in Due West, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Mack Leonard and Madge Tucker Leonard. Myra graduated from South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Columbia worked as a registered nurse at Telfair Hospital in Savannah. In 1977, she moved to Lilly with her husband, Tom.

Gertrude M. "Rat" Cooper, age 90, of 85 Turner Road, Vienna, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehab.

Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Ollie C. Mitchell and Leila Barry Mitchell. She worked as the Assistant City Clerk for the City of Vienna and was a member of Mt.

Born in West Germany, she was the daughter of the late Klaus Laser and Marie-Luise Fastenau Laser. She worked as a Human Services Technician with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health. Mrs.

Edward Pope

Ed Pope, age 52, of 144 Taft Lane, Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Perry Hospital in Perry.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late John Alvin Pope and Ila Mae Youngblood Pope. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla. He was employed at Modern Dispersion South, Inc.

Patricia P. Pat Anderson

Patricia P. "Pat" Anderson, age 73, of 604 2nd Street, Unadilla, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hill Peaster and Virginia Peaster.

Robert L. Akins

Robert Lee "Buddy" Akins, age 68, of 184 Campers Haven Road, Vienna, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at his residence.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Robert Myles Akins and Junnie Chastain Akins. He was the Road Superintendent for Dooly County for 12 years and worked for the City of Vienna for 12 years. He was currently employed by Sanders Farm Service. Buddy was a member of Victory Baptist Church and the Gideons International.
