Macon County Bulldogs Undefeated | News
The Macon County Bulldogs are off to a red-hot start at 2-0 in AA football.
Coach Larry Harold in his second year is hoping to guide his team to back to back playoff runs.
The Dogs defeated Dooly County to open the season for the first time in 10 years. Last week, they followed up with a win over 4A Americus-Sumter with tough defense and smart special teams play.
Coach Harold says his offense is young and inexperienced with a freshman quarterback, but has the potential to get better as the season goes on. This week, the Dogs will face their biggest challenge yet in Peach County, and the Dogs are excited about their chances.
"Peach County is one of the best programs in Georgia. Coach Campbell and his staff are a great bunch. Looking at the film, they've played two tough opponents and they are still Peach County. That's what I told my kids. They are big and fast and aggressive. It's a good test to see how far our program is going up against a big program like that," said Harold.
Game time is Friday night in the Valley starting at 8pm.
