The Lady Royals had a 13-point lead in the second quarter of Saturday's home game versus Macon County.  It shrank to two thanks to going the first 4:03 without a basket.  Tia Troup broke the drought and Cam Tillman had eight points as BC led 38-28 at halftime.

A 29-9 third quarter put the game away.  Bleckley won 85-56, scoring the second most points ever under head coach Jenny Manning.  The record was 91 points, scored against the Lady Bulldogs, on January 4.  Troup had 17.  Tillman finished with 14.  Dewanda Blackshear led with 20, including nine in the first quarter

D'Andre Pitts had five second quarter points as the Royals rallied from a four-point deficit to lead 33-29 at halftime.  A lead of eight was down to four in the final three minutes.  Mario Beck sat the final 3:08 of the third and part of the fourth due to foul trouble.  Ken Hughes also picked up his fourth foul in the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs went ahead on a three-point play with 2:25 left.  Pitts tied the score at 52 with 1:04 left.  Hughes fouled out in the final minute.  Neither team scored again, so the game went to overtime.  Pitts had the only basket as Bleckley hung on 55-53.  It was the first time in five games below 80 points for the Royals.

Pitts had a season-high 12.  Hughes also scored 12.  Beck had 10.  JV boys tip at 4:15 when BCHS plays at Taylor County Tuesday.
