Spring Fling Day 14: Contacts

Spring Fling Day 14: Contacts

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

Today I want you to browse through your contact list on your computer/phone or your paper address book. Go through and delete people that you no longer are in contact with. There’s no need to slog through 100 names and addresses when you no longer need 20 of those names.  If you use a paper address book and have a lot of changes to make, consider getting a new one and starting over fresh.

Chick-fil-A wings in new direction

Chick-fil-A wings in new direction

Bruce Horovitz, USA TODAY

ATLANTA — Chick-fil-A is finally crossing the road.

The iconic chicken chain, as well-known for its conservative heritage as its savory eats, is recalibrating its moral and culinary compass. It wants to go from old school to almost cool. It wants to evolve from a place where gays once picketed to a place where they'll feel comfortable going to eat. It wants to broaden the brand as it expands nationally and plows into the Millennial-driven urban arena. Above all: it wants to be a serious player on fast-food's biggest stage.

Spring Fling Day 1 - Coats & Jackets

Spring Fling Day 1 - Coats & Jackets

Welcome to the Spring Fling. Join us every day in April to start flinging the clutter from your life!

Let’s start flinging with your coats and jackets. Go through your closets and fling the coats that have been outgrown, are getting ratty or you just plain don’t wear anymore. And let’s face it, as cold has it has been this winter, if you have jackets you haven’t worn, you probably aren’t going to. If you have speciality coats like ski jackets that you wear infrequently, don’t let them take up vital real estate in your hall closet. Move them to an extra room or box them up and put them in the attic.

Now go flinging!  Please come back and tell me how many coats and jackets you were able to fling today.

If you would like to receive these flings directly in your email box, subscribe here.

NHTSA to require rear-view cameras on all vehicles

USA TODAY

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a regulation Monday requiring all vehicles, including trucks and buses, to have rear-view visibility -- in effect, requiring rear-view cameras.

The rule applies to all vehicles under 10,000 pounds -- from the smallest subcompact to commercial vans.
