University of Georgia Extension's Jay Porter in Dooly County estimates that feral hogs cost farmers $1 million a year in crop loss.

A 2011 survey showed that feral hogs cost the state $84 million in agricultural loss in 41 counties across southwest Georgia, according to a Dooly County UGA extension blog post.
